Newt Gingrich on the Issues

Newt Gingrich is one of the many contenders, how is he on the issues affecting America in 2012? Read more about his plans for 2012 and ideas of what he would do as president.

Gingrich On Abortion

Gingrich believes that abortion should be made illegal and doctors who perform abortions should be penalized by law. He has said in the past that the Supreme Court has overstretched its powers dictating new laws that affects the constitution, and points to the fact that we need to protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The constitution should be protected in its original meaning which doesn't include the right to an abortion.

Gingrich On The Economy and Taxes

Gingrich believes, as most conservatives do, America is spending way too much and we should cut entitlement programs such as medicare, medicaid, and social security. He thinks we should spending across the board for special interest and bureaucracies in a means to acquire a balanced budget. Moreover he would like to put an end to bureaucracies and replace them with business minded organizations for efficiency. He criticizes the government for not being able to track the money and spending.

He further believes we should cut taxes, especially for corporations, in an effort to help businesses expand and create jobs. He thinks that democrats and some republicans have become accustomed to thinking that tax money is theirs to spend for special projects. His position is to make major reform to the tax code that makes it simple, understandable and less bureaucratic.

Gingrich On ObamaCare

Gingrich calls the obamacare bill a centralized healthcare dictatorship and that we must repeal the bill because it is fundamentally a government takeover of American liberties to choose their own health care.
He believes ObamaCare is against the 10th amendment and infringes on state's rights. He points out there are 23 democratic senators that will be up for reelection and build pressure. He also thinks appropriations in the House should refuse to fund the program.

Gingrich On Gay Issues

Gingrich opposes what he calls the homosexual agenda of marriage rights, unions and ability to serve in the military. He says adoption agencies are quitting their services because they are dictated by some state's laws to hand over children to homosexual couples.

Gingrich On Right To Bear Arms

Gingrich has an A rating with the NRA and unequivocally supports gun rights and has a long track record to prove it. He has spoken at the NRA to members about protecting responsible gun owner's rights and gave a brief history of exactly why gun rights are so essential.

Gingrich On Foreign Policy

Gingrich thinks that instead of relying on the international community for involvement is ridiculous because they don't have authority, when what we should be doing is relying on the American congress to make decisions on foreign policy. He believes a president should consult congress and develop a clear plan on how to deal with the situation at hand.
In order to handle situations in a smart way is minimize military force and maximizing diplomacy and coalition power.

Gingrich On Education

Gingrich believes schools should focus on patriotism rather than cultural integration. Charter schools should be available to students that live in districts that have failing public schools. He believes competition is key to educational organizations, teachers and schools should compete through efficiency tests.

I want to see Newt debate the anointed one with or without teleprompters. Even a liberal will have to concede true intellect vs BS.
